✅ Charging / Discharging / Storage Charging Your Yuneec Typhoon H Battery (General Instructions)
1. Connect Charger Cables first
- Plug the banana cables (red = positive, black = negative) into the charger.
- Plug the balance cable (white connector) into the charger.
2. Connect the Battery
- Connect your battery to the charging cable.
3. Enter Battery Settings
- Example battery: 4-cell (4S), 14.8 V, 8050 mAh LiPo
On your charger:
a. Select Battery Chemistry:

- Choose LiPo (Lithium Polymer).
b. Select Mode / Function:
-
- Choose one of the following depending on what you want:
- Charge
- Discharge
- Storage Charge (recommended for long-term storage)
- Choose one of the following depending on what you want:
c. Set Charging Current:

- Typically: 8.0A (≈ 1C rate for an 8050 mAh battery).
- Do not exceed the battery’s recommended charge rate.
- Typically: 8.0A (≈ 1C rate for an 8050 mAh battery).
d. Set Cell Count / Voltage:

- 14.8 V (4 cells)
- Confirm the charger detects 4S automatically before starting.
NOTES:
1. These are general steps and may not apply to every charger model; refer to your charger manual for more information.
2. Never leave batteries charging unattended.
3. Never attempt to charge defective/ swollen batteries.
✅ Checking Battery Status With a Multimeter
Safety:
- Keep red and black banana leads separated and covered—never let them touch.
Steps:
- Connect the charging cable (white connector) to the multimeter’s LiPo/balance port.
- Connect the battery to the charging cable.
- Press the “Cells” button on the multimeter.
You will see:

- Individual cell voltages:
- Cell 1
- Cell 2
- Cell 3
- Cell 4
